BGS Coach — Privacy
BGS Coach is a private, invitation-only app for Brisbane Grammar School rowing coaches. It is not a public service and has no public sign-up. This page explains what it stores and why.
Who can use it
Access is by a coach account created by a school administrator. There is no self-registration. Each coach signs in with a username and password over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
What it stores
- Coach account details: name, username, optional email and phone, and role.
- Training content: session programs, schedules, technique notes and roll-call attendance.
- Coach location, only during an active on-water session and only when a coach turns sharing on, so coaches can find each other on the river. It is never recorded outside a session window or when a coach has not turned it on.
How it is used
Solely to run the school’s rowing program — planning sessions, coordinating coaches and tracking athlete development. Data is not sold, advertised against, or shared with third parties for marketing.
Security
All traffic is served over HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Access is restricted to authenticated coaches, with sensitive information limited by role.
